Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  How many washes does a bar last?

A.  An 80g shampoo bar will last approximately 60 to 70 washes, depending on hair length and storage.

While a 50g conditioner bar will last you 50 to 60 washes.

Care instructions:

The bars may attract moisture due to its moisturizing properties and may cause it to sweat. For the bars to last its longest we recommend that you store them on a soap dish with drain holes and keep them away from spraying water while not in use.

Q.  How to store the bars?

 A.  We recommend that upon receipt of your bars you open the wrapper and let it sit for a day or two (air dry) before using.  This would make the curing process longer and will in return make you bars harder so that it can reach its optimum use of 60 to 70 washes.

Best application is to apply directly to wet hair from the tips then form a lather.  Please don't expect the same lather as that of your standard commercial shampoo bars as these are sulfate free.

The bars may attract moisture due to its moisturizing properties and may cause it to sweat.  Store them on a soap dish with drain holes and keep them away from spraying water while not in use.  This is important as drying is key in making it last longer.  The consistency of the shampoo will go softer after every use as we limit the use of hardeners.

Q.  Are your bars organic?

A.  We use plant based ingredients to produce our bars.  These are also known as “organic” in some marketing campaigns.  All our ingredients are posted on our website for your viewing should you wish to learn more of our ingredients.

Q.  How to use a shampoo or conditioner bar?

 A. To get the most from your shampoo and conditioner bar:

 1. Begin with thoroughly wet hair. You can use the shower or your tabo.

2. Rub the wet shampoo bar between your wet hands to create a nice lather. It lathers! Yes it does and we don’t use sulfate. Surprise! Enjoy the scent that you picked.

3. Using your fingers like a comb, smooth the lather along your hair. This way your hair don’t get tangled up.

4. Gently massage it into the scalp and hair as you would with a bottled shampoo. Be kind to your scalp. Please don’t use your fingernails, flatten your fingertips on your head like you hold a ball then massage gently.

5. Work up a good lather and smile 😃

6. Rinse. Rinse. Rinse.

7. Follow the same steps above when using the conditioner bar.

Store your bars in a soap dish with drain holes in it, this is to avoid your bars to swim in water. Best to use what you already have at home.

Keep the bars away from spraying water when not in use.

Q.  I have noticed that you used methosulfate as one of your ingredients, isn’t that the same as all the other sulfates?

A. Despite its name, Behentrimonium Methosulfate is a non-sulfate, derived from rapeseed oil. Prized for its effective detangling abilities, it's able to penetrate the hair shaft making it an excellent moisturizer and conditioner, while remaining gentle on the hair and skin, without coating the scalp or causing buildup.

Q.  Are your products safe for pregnant and lactating women?

A.  We do not have studies for this, but if you are using commercial shampoos now then it should be okay as we are plant based - but still  we advise you to use at your own discretion. Ingredients are listed on the website to help you decide whether our bars will suit you.

Q.  Are your products ok to use for the ff:  psoriasis, contact dermatitis, eczema?

A.  We are a beauty bar and have no therapeutic claims.  We have some customers who has some of the conditions above and is happy with the results.  We strongly suggest that you show the ingredients of our bars to your Doctor before use.

Q.  I experienced hair fall and dandruff while using your bars, should i still continue use and see whether my scalp and hair is only adjusting to a new product?
